Summer.
What can be better?
Pool, spray bottle, apple picked from the tree and a super hero cap.

Deacon loves to take pictures. I swear we need to get the kid his own camera. But its fun to see the world through his eyes.

On another note, later that evening he found his vitamins and wanted some, I gave him the allotted amount. But that wasn't enough for him. I told him he could have the bottle and good luck trying to get into it. It is suppose to be childproof in all. So I wasn't worried. I got to doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen then glanced over at him sitting on the couch.

He got the bottle open!
How on earth!
So much for Childproof!
Seriously.
Im just glad it was his vitamins.

Busted Buddy!!

I was pretty impressed that I let him have another 1 (or 2).

She's Engaged!

Jason had to go to work, but while he was gone I helped Jeremy finalize the plans to surprise her and 'pop' the question. I had be sneak-a-ly been asking her what her ideal proposal would be. So I got some good ideas to pass along...He decided on asking her on the top of South Mountain at sunset. Perfect. Dad watched D so I could go help Jeremy with getting stuff for a picnic then take him to Kendilyns work where he would be waiting for her to get off work in the parking lot. He decided that he would just sit on a bench in the parking lot near her car, acting very casual.
Then he sent me on my way.
But I didn't really leave. I left the parking lot and went to the parking lot across the little street. So I could still watch. Ha ha. I saw her come out of her work and walk along the long parking lot toward her car. Then she stopped. She must of spotted him. They walked to each other and gave each other a big hug. It was very sweet.
Im so bummed, I tried to take a picture of it, but my battery on my
phone didn't have enough life to take a picture.
I left shortly after that cause I didn't want to be creepy. But got the full story the following day.
They drove to South Mountain ate a picnic dinner, both too excited to eat actually. Apparently Jeremy has this weird fetish with chewing on things, Everything I guess. So he decided that he would "chew on the ring" he was going to ask her with. She hates that he chews on things and discovered it was a ring. He asked. She said yes. And so She is engaged!

WIth them being in different states and only seeing each other maybe 2 before the wedding in August, they asked Jason and I if we would take their engagement pictures that weekend.
Stressful. I made Jason do it. He did a great job.

Gotta get the shot....good job honey!

We had a fun time playing during their outfit change...

Congratulations Kendal and Jeremy!
{Although you are crazy for getting married in August in Arizona},
We're excited for the big day, August 18th!

We decided to plant a garden this spring (April).
 And, oh, it has sprung!
We planted tomatillos, tomatoes, 3 types of lettuce, strawberries, squash and zucchini. Yum.
The tomatillo bush grew great, but in the end it didn't grow so well.
We didn't get any tomatillos.
As far as the squash/zucchini,we planted too many plants for just us.
Those things grew so well.
I'm pretty sure we had some form of it at every meal for months.

When Jason and I were dating I heard LOTS about his signature dish he would make. His family would always talk about how good Jason's stuffed squash was. I haven' t been able to try or taste it until this year. And Oooo, it was delicious.

We went to Target, as I often do. I really should own stock in the company. Anyhow, D found what he though was a pretty cool bean bag chair. He insisted that he sit in it and said, "Take my picture mom."
What a goofball.

It so fun to have cousins to play with.
And this night D got to have Victor spend the night.
{Justin had already moved to NY for his job, Natalie was flying out to with him trying to find them a place to live when they all moved out there, so Victor got to stay with us for the night.}

The boys had fun playing around the house chasing each other and playing together.
I brought out the 'roller coaster ride' for them to play with and with their brilliant imaginations it quickly turned into a dragon they were riding. And yes, they had to have their helmets on to protect their heads.

In the morning we rolled out the slip n' slide. They were a little hesitant at first, Jason had to show them how it was done.

But once they started they wouldn't stop.

That afternoon Jeremy was surprising Kendilyn and flying in to Finally propose.
We took him, the kids and our lunch to "The Farm at South Mountain" to give him ideas of where he could ask her later that evening when she got off work.
The kids had fun picking at the trees while we talked to get to know Jeremy better.
And give him some tips.

Thanks for spending the night Victor!
